Planning! - May-June, 2010Over the last few weeks we have been extremely busy gathering information about possible projects to present to our board when we return home in 5 days time. We are very excited as we look toward the future and the doors that are opening before us.

Joe finished school last Friday and is excited to return to New Zealand to catch up with his friends. He has even mentioned that he wants to return to Forrest Hill School for a day to say hello.

Returning to NZ for 3 Weeks
We leave Baguio on the 9th of June and arrive in Auckland on the 11th. We will be in Auckland until midday Sunday and then fly to Wellington as we are preaching at Hope Centre (Pastor Seth Fawcet) Sunday night. On Monday morning we fly out to Nelson to catch up with my parents. After spending a couple nights in Nelson we head to Greymouth to catch up with Jenny. This excites both the boys (Duane and Joe) as Jenny left Baguio on the 18th of May. After spending a few days in Greymouth we head back to Auckland on the 21st June and return to Baguio on the 30th.

Supernatural Lifestyle and Evangelism training
About 6 weeks ago we introduced Supernatural Lifestyle and Evangelism training on Wednesday nights. Pastor Arnold picked about 14 key people, whom he would see as leaders, from the churches in Ambiong and Beckal.

The focus of the leadership training is to lay a good foundation starting with the doctrines found in Hebrews 6. We will then move to developing the gifts of the spirit and teaching them to pray for the sick. We will complete the course with training on how to effectively lead small groups. The focus is not only on teaching but also on encountering God. So we have a good time in worship (via the ipod) and prayer. These times are incredibly powerful and a number have testified to this fact.

In fact, when I was taking people home last Wednesday they were bubbling over with excitement as they were recounting their experiences with the Holy Spirit. It was a wonderful thing to witness.

Also during these worship and ministry times tears flow freely. We believe that a lot of healing is taking place as wrong concepts and mindsets are being replaced with the right ones.

Churches
We continue to work with Pastor Arnold and the churches in Ambiong, Suyo and Beckal. After the Saturday morning service in Suyo we spend most of the afternoon visiting people who are either in wheel chairs or confined to beds because of the effects of a stroke. We have the opportunity to share the Word and pray for them. At first they were quite resistant but now they are sitting up waiting for us. One lady, who was very downcast during our first visit, is now beaming and as she puts it, “feeling herself getting stronger and stronger.” She also had a dream (which was a new experience for her), which we were able to interpret. Tears rolled down her face as she realized how much God loved her.

Another man, who we have just started to visit and who is confined to a wheel chair, took 12 steps for the first time in a long time. We also lead him to the Lord.

These are just two testimonies. Miracles are constantly happening before our eyes as we see people transformed by His presence and experiencing His love, some for the first time. It’s good to see that God is in a very good mood.

Russell and Carmela
We continue to build a good relationship with Russell and Carmela from Agoo. Among many other things they are the Asian Directors for Be In Health Ministries. BIH has a vision to see disease eradicated rather than managed. We were able to be a part of their first conference with Pastor Henry Wright (Founder and CEO) in Baguio. Close to 200 people turned up and were challenged and impacted with his teaching. I’m sure we will see a lot of fruit.

There are a number of things that we will be presenting to the board regarding our involvement in Agoo. So please check our website frequently.

Well, I could easily write another 700 words on all the wonderful things God is doing but we will have to save that until next time.

Once again thanks to those who are giving financially and praying for us. It is greatly appreciated and helps us move forward with confidence.

Please check out our website and blogs for future updates.

Until Next Time
Love Duane & Jenny
