On to Baguio - September 17th, 2009We have had a tremendous time in Manila. I'm sure we have made significant contacts that will be beneficial as we look toward the future. Randomly (more like a God set-up) coming across the Pastors prayer meeting at the Circle and having the opportunity to pray for them as well as a bunch of college students was one of three major high-lights. Another high-light was joining Jo Ward (Servants Asia) as she took us to a slum area where she lives. Meeting the people and playing with the kids really impacted our hearts. Joe had an absolute ball and had a crowd of kids following him everywhere. In fact, he had difficulty eating his dinner as they kept calling out to him to come down and play. We will be posting photos on our website very soon.

Thirdly, the lovely people we meet at the SEND guest house. Included were two missionaries that have been in Baguio for 25 years. So, we look forward to seeing them again.

Before we left NZ one of our prayers was for divine contacts or God appointments. It's been wonderful, even at this early stage of the journey, to see God answering this prayer.

Today we head to Baguio on a 6 hour bus trip. Joe has a 2hr school placement test tomorrow starting at 8am. I'm sure he is looking forward to this :-) We will also be checking out accommodation and other things. Love Duane & Jenny
